Learning fractions is a struggle for many students. They will try to avoid them at all costs. The following questions are usually asked: Why do I need to know this? Can't I just turn fractions into decimals? Why are fractions so difficult to learn?
If you have asked any of the above questions or similar, you're not alone. I once struggled with fractions, but I became eager to learn and make sense of them at some point because not knowing how to work with fractions prevented me from enrolling in higher level math courses. Therefore, I found other meaningful ways to learn them.
By the end of this course, students will get over their struggle with fractions and learn how to work with them. You'll be able to simplify, add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. Students will come to appreciate fractions if they're exposed to their everyday usage.
This course is for you if:
- You find learning fractions a struggle.
- You know longer want fractions to keep you from moving further along in math.
- You want to learn fractions with ease, exploring other methods.
